JUST A DOG

Just A Dog is a short documentary film directed by Andrea B. Scott, with an original score written, produced, recorded and mixed by Manual Cinema Co-Artistic Directors Ben Kauffman and Kyle Vegter.

In a nation bristling with discontent over an increasingly militarized police force, Just A Dog tells the intimate story of the Harris family from Hartford, CT, whose pet dog, Seven, was unjustly killed by police on the family’s private property.

The film was published on The Nation July 2016 and on The Atlantic October 2016. It had its festival world premiere at Hot Docs International Film Festival in May 2016.
